NFleischer 4,355 Posted August 24, 2011 Someone requested a 'good ' picture of Lay's Omega Chrono. They were on sale for $208 back then but have gone up alot. I think if you look around you can still find some deals- they all should be the same watch.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted August 24, 2011 Thanks alot mates- seems like the watches look better with that new camera. I get very few comments when I post with that lousy old 3 MP camera. Plus I have to Photoshop the hell out of them just to be presentable. @jcarara08- so go for it, what do you think. BTW- I like your sig thats from "Ctizen Kane" when he's at the opera with his wife who's a crappy singer. I'm a movie buff besides a watch nut.

chum_2000_uk 0 Posted August 24, 2011 This is one of the reps I am pretty sure I will never part with. Really tempted to spend a bit of money on mine and make it a super rep! Anyone know if these take gen dials? What about gen bracelets?
NFleischer 4,355 Posted August 24, 2011 Yes its an Asian 7750. I haven't seen anyone selling the real Swiss version. Besides, part of the appeal of the watch was the price. I wouldn't spend another $400-500 on the Swiss movement and who knows what for the gen bracelet etc. This gen is not that expensive- you can probably get a new one for $3k or under. Used of course, less.
therockerz 0 Posted August 25, 2011 Is this really a very good rep? I compared photos and I wasn't quite sure..
jcagara08 31 Posted August 25, 2011 yes this can take a GEN dial, ETA Valjoux 7750, Bezel=Insert, Bracelet also..yes this mod could be costly I think Anyone knows where to source an ETA 7750? =)

Pearl is rubbish, Omega logo incorrect and lume dots sometimes look a touch green, oh and a few small tells with the bracelet.... But apart from that its a very good rep. I love mine, hence being tempted to mod it.

Mine is basically the same as the pic in the first post. So yeah, there are flaws as you can see, but overall IMO these are great reps.

Mary told me she doesn't have these anymore.. Actually I got it from Marvelousreplicas, and put in a genuine SMP dial that I bought used from eBay. Real easy to do.....Now I need to relume it as soon as the "stuff" arrives. It had the newer red dial on it, but I have two real SMP's with the same dial, so thought a rep would look good with one too! In Brasil, it's not too safe to walk around with a real Swiss watch, so a fake one seemed better.
