greg_r 83 Posted July 27, 2009 I don't like the theme they're using, but the upgrade to iPB 3 (which is a good idea for a lot of reasons - in particular improved CPU useage) means they HAD to change the look - no choice. The skinning system has changed completely as the architecture of the board software itself has changed. It's a major job to convert themes over from older versions, and there's not a lot of ready-built stuff available yet (trust me - I speak from experience, putting a theme together for iPB is a major pain in the ass - I've done it once and won't be doing it again). We're going to have to do the same transition at some point - probably next year - but I promise that I will endeavour to make things look a little more like home when I do it. Guess who wins? still some funky issues they must be ironing out - I went back to see I was already logged in but can't do anything as if I was - prolly have to delete my cache @ John - I hear ya man but eventually everything changes - in this case it was mandatory - we'll have to do the same shortly. by then, we'll have a good handful of V3 skins to choose from I like the idea of letting a user choose his own skin so we could have a handful available - well see.. omni 6 Posted July 27, 2009 True Alpha, I don't care for either of the dark skin choices at RWG.cc right now because I find it hard on me old eyes. I guess they think it looks exotic. The lighter the better for my personal preference as contrast is what I need for reading small menu items. Hope they get a light colored skin to use. ................................And somehow this post is wide open for degeneration into snide comparison comments about women...........but I didn't put that thought in anyone's mind. I agree. Also we should make it manditory for everyone who posts to adjust the font size to 6 Then The older and wiser members would be more comfortable......
