JohnG 41 Posted July 28, 2009 My Mini Fiddy case set arrived today - my camera is an old powershot elph 2mpx, these are the best shots I could get for now, hopefully the Pam guys can tell if the case looks good. To me it looks fantastic - especially for $35 shipped, like to hear your opinions as well.... The case arrive in little more than a week, registered mail from HK. Now I need to learn to fix the crown guard pin! HD, got that tutorial ready? Here are the pics (white balance whacked out on the last few, but doesn't matter for purpose of viewing case):
greg_r 81 Posted July 28, 2009 That's a great-looking case! Damn - I just wish I had the time to get into this myself. I could see myself building PAMs by the handful... lol

JohnG 41 Posted July 28, 2009 Cool, people seem to think it looks good. I agree. I am ordering the PVD movement today - along with an extra dial from Getatwatch. I ordered a stealth dial already, but it is for a 45mm radiomir, may not fit this one (can shave it but won't if the numerals will end up too close to rehaut. I figured get the sterile sandwich dial for 44mm, put stealth lume on it when it arrives, can use the other for a custom Radiomir build someday. My GS strap is on the way today also, according to the seller at RG - it arrived and he is shipping out (I bought it from him before he actually recieved it from the guy HE bought it from )
KBH 7 Posted July 28, 2009 I know nothing about Fiddy cases but for $35 delivered it almost makes me want one. As I posted elsewhere DSN wanted $41 just for a crown and tube set for a Radiomir. What a rip off!

KBH 7 Posted July 28, 2009 You can get $500 on RG for it.
JohnG 41 Posted July 28, 2009 You can get $500 on RG for it. Maybe more if I 1. do a cool review of it. 2. get a famous person (town mayor?) to try it on ("once worn by so and so"). 3. write "full mods" on the listing.

AustinTech 0 Posted July 28, 2009 John, I don't think I'd do the PVD movement with a non pvd watch. And I bet the Getat shoes are just as good as a gorilla strap if you find the right style you are looking for. The cheaper version would be the way I'd go. 25 cent glow powder? What's that? As to PVD movement in non-PVD watch - you could be right, if it doesn't look good, can swap it out, save movement for another project. JohnG is going into business baby! HOMAGES BABY, YEAAHHHHH!!!!! Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2009 Did you see that they also have a small-grain lume paint labelled up as for watches? http://glowinc.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=12 Would it be easier to get the already mixed paint on the site rather than getting the powder and mixing it with the thinner/solvent stuff yourself? The powder you list is probably just the same as I bought but more expensive because they call it "for watches" - I am getting TWO v10 powders, one is finer 15-35 mu, for hands. The other, a little bigger, grain, is fine for dials... read and saw all the trials on the Geek, no need for the "specialized" powder, if it even IS specialized.
