gottahaverolex 0 Posted September 14, 2011 Out of respect for him and his line of work I won't go into specifics but I had a business related meeting today with a guy I've met several times before. I was running late because I got stuck behind a school bus that stopped every ten freaking feet so he was waiting in his car for me to arrive for the meeting. As soon as he got out of his car I noticed his HUGE watch, it was a Breitling Bentley Big Date Tourby fantasy. I immediately said "NICE WATCH! and he replied "Thanks You too!" and we continued inside for the meeting. I just couldn't resist, i said " Are you a watch nut!?" he said " yeah, kind of". I said I noticed the Bentley right away because I used to have two of them, he said he noticed my watch right away too (I was wearing my Pam 187). We talked a little more about watches as we also talked business. I said "I'm gonna come clean with you, my watch is a rep" he replied " MINE TOO!". I told him I knew it was because a Bentley Tourby doesn't exist but it was cool none the less. I asked where he got it and he said New York. I replied Canal Street , right? He smiled and said, Yeah! I went on to explain how I am a collector and told him about RWG, he was very interested in our little society. I explained that he should join the forum and look into some real quality reps and stop wasting his money on canal Street junk. He asked me to send him the link to the forum which i gladly did. I really hope he joins, he's a real nice guy and I think he can learn a lot here just as I did and still do. I also explained how I learned to work on my own watches which seemed to blow him away. I think he could end up spending a lot of time and money on reps if he does indeed join. I told him to join and say hello and let everyone know that GHR sent him. Give him a warm welcome if you will, when and if he decides to join us! He also had a Gen Tag Link in his car that just returned from being fixed Another one bites the dust! True story: The doorman of a local club has one of those Bentley Tourby's too, and I know it's a rep, cause almost every time I get in I manage to see how the open balance wheel moves I once said: Nice Bentley!
