Archaon 4 Posted September 16, 2011 Hi fellow replica watch addicts. A friend of mine purchased an Audemars ROO from a non trusted dealer (can't say I told him not to, but... I told him not to...) After one day he lost the bottom chrono pusher... So here i am with a damn difficult problem. I opened the watch to investigate. So here is the hole for the TOP pusher: As you can see there is a small cylinder in the middle, that is meant to receive the pusher: Which of course... He lost (one pusher for the top, one pusher for the bottom, which is missing) The hole for the bottom pusher looks like that: As you can see, the cylinder in the middle is missing too... So in summary, i am missing the cylinder to receive the pusher, and the pusher itself. So, my friend is nearly crying as he looooves the damn thing... Please, any help anyone can provide would be helful: 1/ is there a way to make a new pusher and hold it in place without the cylinder...? I doubt so 2/ can anyone direct me somewhere i could source the missing spare parts? Heeeeellllllppppp......
Member X 91 Posted September 16, 2011 If you can measure the internal and external diameter of the tube in the top one, and the diameter and depth of the hole in the bottom one, you might be able to source some SS tubing with that internal and external diameter and mill one end down to fit into the hole. I fear, however, that it will be a bit of a mission impossible, as you say, and he should have ordered from one of the trusted dealers, also as you said... :) :o
powderfreak 0 Posted September 16, 2011 Of course you could ask some dealers, but in this case I really doubt they will be able to source those spare parts... Good Luck!!!
MikeMcNair 0 Posted September 20, 2011 Send Mary VERY detailed pix of watch and movement, she can source the parts, trust me!!!
Archaon 4 Posted September 20, 2011 Send Mary VERY detailed pix of watch and movement, she can source the parts, trust me!!! Thanks for the tip! I wish you replied earlier... My friend was offered by his dealer to receive a new watch case (the dealer said the parts can't be sourced separately...) so he paid an extra 45USD to get the case, i will then simply put the movement + dial back in the new case (after i will have thoroughly checked the puchers...) Many thanks Mike for taking the time to reply!
Member X 91 Posted September 20, 2011 $45 for a case is pretty reasonable, compares to Silix vintage PAM cases. Hopefully all will go smoothly!
MikeMcNair 0 Posted September 21, 2011 yes, but does the case come with the pushers? i would ask that first!!!
Archaon 4 Posted September 21, 2011 yes, but does the case come with the pushers? i would ask that first!!! It does :-) The first query was to get the pushers only, which were said to only be sold with a full case. Could have been useful if i had missed this, thanks!
