Turbo 0 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Hey guys- I received one of Robert's Breitling B01 quartz watches and noticed the bezel you rotate has some play in it. The play allows you to move the bezel up/down and side to side a bit. When I rotate it backwards, there is also quite a bit of play before it locks. Is this something that can be fixed or tightened up somehow? I'd like to remove some of the slop. Cheers! Edited September 17, 2011 by Turbo

Turbo 0 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Dental floss is your friend. ? um.........is there a tutorial out there on use of said floss? Actually, I was wondering if all those little screws around the outside of the bezel help set the tolerances but thought I'd ask before attempting to turn any of them. This is the watch I bought: Edited September 17, 2011 by Turbo
Luthier 1 Posted September 17, 2011 Great watch, enjoy!! Don't you even think to touch these small screws on the edge of the bezel, its decoration. Pop up the bezel, wrap dental floss around the spring, put bezel back. Yes, somebody wrote tutorial, use SEARCH button. Good luck!
Comex 0 Posted September 17, 2011 Pop the bezel and thighten up the spring. Did it also on my SA. Did not use dental floss, only for oral hygiene like Vector said.
Waipio Jeff 0 Posted September 17, 2011 Floss method also works by just wrapping it tightly under the bezel without popping it off.
Turbo 0 Posted September 17, 2011 Does anyone have any "exploded" view pictures of a Breitling B01 with the bezel off? I'd love to see what the inards look like before starting to take it apart myself. I ran a number of searches here, but did not come up with anything. I just tried the floss wrapping trick with the bezel still on and it helped a bit - but not a whole lot, to be honest.

Turbo 0 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Did you wrap around more than one time? Might need a couple of wraps. Well, I put about 20" of floss under the bezel of my B01. Enough to do several "laps" around the dial and that hasn't really done the trick at this point. Edited September 17, 2011 by Turbo
