JohnG 41 Posted August 6, 2009 bump a thread of mine, again from the loony and make remark: wow that thread went nowhere fast. Yeah, well, that is true. I guess I have a little resentment accumulated after your fucked up comments about my deceased mother and insinuated I was responsible for her death, that I "drove" her to it. Ditto the like comment about my father. And your lovely comments about how I "deserved" to have my addiction journal and everything in it outed on the old forum. And subsequent ridicule ad nauseum. I am not a victim, I am bitchy sometimes, take it from others, argue, feud, sure. But most of the time? A good friend to the guys here - that is pretty much my persona, people who know me here a LOT better than you do, know that to be true. A good guy with a bit of a temper, that's what they would say. They would be right too. Dems, I have never said anything to you worthy of the nastiness you have poured on me, that is a rationalization you use to justify, I guess it works for you, your sick extremely personal attacks, but it is a lie. Deserving has nothing to do with it, you pick your fun, you go for it, don't be a disingenuous hypocrite to boot. Be honest about that at least. I mean, come on. So.... your reason for being here, by your own admission, is to troll me. Which is all you ever done with me.. An "unwell man" by your reckoning. So what exactly does that say about you? Anything else, or are you done already?

alphakazi 0 Posted August 6, 2009 I think it's safe to say that with a mix of various personality types, sooner or later heads but - some steam is let off and forum life continues I value both John and Dems - both intelligent individuals and both an asset to the forum - I guarantee you they could generally see eye to eye with minimal effort

alphakazi 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Pollux, yeah, I already emailed Julia, waiting for a reply... will be interesting to see how she handles it - I don't think Josh's version uses the gen movement either (probably a couple hundred for the movement alone) but correct spacing does make all the difference

I don't think a $100 rep would have the same one as the gen - just guessing here edit: I see there's an 804.191 - 3 hands with alarm for about $25... can't see them using an economy line... not sure, now I'm curious to know which movement the gen uses
Luthier 1 Posted August 7, 2009 John is it just the pics or are the subdials and numbers on the bezel WAY off mate? MOTHER FUCKER!!!! YOU ARE RIGHT!!!! It is the wrong watch - it was supposed to be the same movement at the gen - and I sent her the link to Josh's site, with the same description, said I wanted THAT watch.... Okay now we get to see how she handles a fuck-up. Stay tuned. That's why I don't use her anymore. She's nice gal, but independent dealer is always much better than company, PERIOD. sconehead 5 Posted August 7, 2009 The genuine has an ETA quartz movement 251.262 or G10.211...
alphakazi 0 Posted August 7, 2009 The genuine has an ETA quartz movement 251.262 or G10.211... good call scone! it was bugging me This Tissot V8 uses the G10.211 - movement costs about $41US but the datewheel doesn't jive the 251.262 is twice as much (about $87US) used in the Porche Flat 6 - the date wheel size matches the Tag looks spot on to me - thanks again scone - the G10.211 uses 4 jewels while the 251.262 uses 27 jewels - makes sense why it's twice as much so considering what the factory would buy these for in quantity... I see them using the gen movements but NOT in a $75 watch - she'll have to charge you more John for the good version me thinks
