tommylad 0 Posted October 3, 2011 Hi guys, I want to buy an Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. I have been looking at two listings, one on Timeshops and one on Watch-international. Basically I want to know why the case diameters are different on these two? Are they different or have the two dealers just used different measurements? I read about some discrepancies in the sizes quoted for this watch, hence me asking. Mary's Speedmaster Timeshops Speedmaster Also, is it possible to get domed plexi glass in a rep out of the box? Cheers, Tommy
g.man 0 Posted October 3, 2011 (edited) I'd imagine they're more than likely the same watch. Factual inaccuracies frequently crop up on dealers website listings. Probably best to email Mary and enquire. As for the domed crystal, AFAIK the answer to that question sadly is no. regards g.man Edited October 3, 2011 by g.man
SeanusMaximus 0 Posted October 3, 2011 Domed plexi will have to be an after-jobbie
tommylad 0 Posted October 3, 2011 Who does the domed plexi and how much does it cost? Is it worth the extra time and expense in your opinion?
KeNnY 29 Posted October 3, 2011 I have got gen plexi for omega moon watch, from houndoggie (thank you my friend) so I will sure find out soon if it will fit
g.man 0 Posted October 3, 2011 That watch press you won might be about to become very handy Kenny. If it does fit it could be a very busy little sideline for you. regards g.man
NFleischer 4,355 Posted October 3, 2011 There's really only one version of this out there I think ( besides the quartz) It's about 40mm. Not a great rep- but OK. I got this from the dearly departed Lay
tommylad 0 Posted October 3, 2011 yeah I hear the accuracy isn't great. Does it run well/feel good etc?
NFleischer 4,355 Posted October 3, 2011 Yes it runs well, that mov't is very reliable. Feels so-so. I filed down the bracelet abit.
tommylad 0 Posted October 3, 2011 Hmm. I'm having second thoughts. What would people recommend - The speedmaster pro moonie, Speedmaster Date, Broadarrow, or a Tag Heuer Calibre 16? Cheers.
LeandroBR 14 Posted October 4, 2011 If you are concerned about accuracy go for Tag Calibre 16. Probably the safest choice.
