Member X 91 Posted August 6, 2009 Well, this may be a noob question but I'm still confused about strap sizes... My wrist is about 6.75" (about 160cm I think?) but a lot of straps seem to be much larger than that! I understand that they give the widths in lug size/tail end size, so I know I'm looking for 22mm straps at the moment, but the different lengths are just confusing me For example, I'm looking at this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Quality-leather-watch-...emZ300334647339 Short piece length: 85mm Long piece length: 120mm Max strap length: 175mm Min strap length: 135mm I assume that the minimum strap length needs to have the watch's lug-to-lug measurement added to it to get to how small it'll be on the smallest hole?? Hardly anywhere seems to give this minimum strap length so the only thing I have to work to is to get the smallest short and long piece lengths I can, as I have small wrists and like to wear my watches snug... It gets even more confusing with the G10/NATO strap lengths!! lol
greg_r 83 Posted August 6, 2009 85/120 is a fairly average length. Note that if the strap is a thick one, it will make the strap seem shorter due to the way it fits. www.watchbandcenter.com sell a range of shorter straps at sensible prices btw. They also have a page giving details of measurements, which might help you get your head around it: http://www.watch-band-center.com/shop2/ind...&weiteres=
