Mod green indices on Panerai Daylight

Recommended Posts

subiim

I recently got this PAM 196 from Mary and love it? Problem is the indices are very green. It doesn't appear to be the lume. They seem to be painted green. I would like to get them white.

Does this mean they need to be painted? Or if I get it super lumed can this be done in a way that they appear white in the sun?

Can anyone assist with this or point me in the right direction, please.

standard superlume of a sausage dial will give you the results you want. i can do this if you'd like, or SKA if yer in the UK. or KeNNy if yer near Slovakia (i think thats where he is)

The gen 196 has a slightly yellow uncharged lume color. The A7753 version of the rep has the same exact color lume as gen. It isn't quite superlume strength, but it is good enough not to be bothered to relume.

Now, a relume on a tricky dial like the 196 will be about $150 and may or may not look good... More likely it will not.

So have $350 into the watch now.

The a7753 version of this watch is about this price and has a very nice date wheel that isnt sunken.

Sometimes it is better to upgrade to a new rep rather than mod.

Here is my 196 rep for reference.

Now, a relume on a tricky dial like the 196 will be LESS THAN $150 IF YOU HAVE MCNAIR DO IT and WILL look good.

Now I don't doubt your skill, but the 196 is a tuff job. And if you can do it flawlessly, you should be charging $150 or more.

i m not here to get MONEY from people, i am here to provide a service, and if i catch a few bucks from it, cool.

sausage dials BLOW, but i did my 090 PERFECTLY, and have come up with ways since then to do a sausage.

sammich, its a cake walk. but sausage, well, yes, it takes time, ubt its worth the effort, and if i can save a fellow VIP some loot, i'm all for it bro.
