schmooze 0 Posted October 14, 2011 This article on 1970's Italian fake watches is written by a second hand dealer and watch maker in New South Wales, Australia. A little bit of fake watch making history. http://nickhacko.blogspot.com/2011/03/anot...other-fake.html

twall 1 Posted October 14, 2011 Fake watches? Like people sitting around drawing pictures of watches and cutting them out? That kinda fake watchmaking? He forgot about the Swiss ripping off British watches in his list of historic "crooks"

Garry 0 Posted October 14, 2011 Somewhat more interesting: http://nickhacko.blogspot.com/2011/09/q.html I had a mate in the 1980's who had this problem. If he put on a mechanical watch, it stopped within 5 or 10 minutes of him fastening it on. He would demonstrate this by borrowing a watch off someone and wearing it. Sure enough after a few minutes the watch had stopped.
