Member X 91 Posted August 13, 2009 Cool They're not horrendously priced for a gen, from what I can see in the shops! Still above any budget I might have though... lol

I think these list for around $1,800, but you can get them on the bay for around $1250. I got mine for 65% off list. Macy's was switching suppliers.

Harley357 0 Posted August 13, 2009 nice Invicta Harley - I was going to pick one up the other day, the quality is impressive for the price Thanks - I got this one last year when they had a sale on Amazon and I have to say it's a lot of watch for the money. The bracelet is outstanding and the watch has a sapphire crystal. Weak point: The lume as usual.

greg_r 81 Posted August 14, 2009 That cg is in need of work Greg, I'd read HD's tuto or pm him if I was you... sigh, yes I know, but apathy ftw! Anyhow, the lever is too skinny, as is the crown, which ain't going to be fixed by a simple CG mod. The movement decorations are foil rather than engraved, too. The 'L's are missing from L Swiss Made L on the dial (all the recent cartel white dials have this problem) and the lume is above average for rep lume, but doesn't last more than an hour or so. Don't get me wrong, it's an astoundingly good watch for $99, but you see where I'm going with this? I know what I'm like - if I start pursuing the perfect PAM rep, I'm gonna get so obsessed with getting it right, I'll drive myself nuts. It's not only lack of time that has prevented me modding, to be perfectly honest, it's that I can get a tad obsessional about these things if I let 'em get ahold of me. I prefer to save that kinda energy for things that matter a little more, so I buy my reps and try to enjoy them for what they are - upgrading when I find something better. Meantime, the flaws really only jump out when photographing with a macro lens - on the wrist it looks pretty darned good :P I'll probably buy a better 113 when the rep factories get the dials sorted out - I can't be bothered to fiddle with this one... Member X 91 Posted August 14, 2009 lol It's good to see someone self aware enough to know when to stop I seem to jump from one new thing to another but hopefully watches will be something I'll stick with, and if I don't splash out on absolutely everything I like right now, I will have things to aim for! :P
greg_r 81 Posted August 14, 2009 lol It's good to see someone self aware enough to know when to stop Wish it worked for everything. Talk to me about antique books.... :P
