Paul Picot Limited Edition PLONGEUR C-TYPE

Yellow is too, well, garnish for winter, so I installed the black band on my Picot. Pics were taken under a full spectrum reading lamp. Most were taken with my little Fuji Finepix F11, small pic size, 100-200 iso, and 2.8 or 3.2 F stop. A couple were taken with the Nikon D80 and my 18-200 zoom. Auto iso.

First, a "full frontal" (don't Bin the thread!)

Some dial closeups. Nice texture on the dial and excellent contrast between the black dial and yellow hands.

The case back. (I have number 208 out of 500. :Jumpy:)

The requisite wrist shot:

As it has been said many times, this is one of the best replicas of 2008. It is extremely went made. The movement seems solid and can barely be heard with arm movement. I have to shake the watch 4 inches from my ear to hear it. Hand winding is as smooth and easy as most ETA's.

The only flaws are the recessed date wheel (I'm told) and the overpowering "vanilla" smell of the bands, at least for me they're too stinky. Others don't mind it.

A shot of it on the yellow band:

Good to see something a little different from the mainstream - looks great on the black band.

Sweet watch! Is that a He valve on a chrono?

It is. Last time I was 300 meters deep it worked just fine. :drunksing:

these pics are great.

I really like this watch. I especially love the yellow band, that is what made me like this watch in the first place.

Great watch, especially on yellow band, it compliments hands color.

Where did you dive on 300 meters, Doc? Koh Samui?

Good to read a review where the watch is used for its intended purpose. And can cope.

Did you do any mods before it was pressure tested to this depth?

Hmm...

Sorry, I was being facetious about the diving. I've never been 300 meters deep. I don't think I've ever been more than 20 feet deep.

Some guys have reported swimming with this watch w/o problems. Others said their replica leaked.

If you want a replica for diving, I recommend the Steelfish: they're "guaranteed" down to 1,000 meters.

I like you PP! wait... huh?

Anyway, cool watch. It has been on my list for a long while, but the SDW keeps holding me back (pray someday they rep the 7753 to fix it). I actually prefer the yellow.
