Member X 91 Posted December 5, 2011 Now ask yourself: Can you pull of a 10.000€ watch and wear it in a way others realize it WITHOUT making others think "Hey, that must be a rep"? €10k? Is that it? Akira 0 Posted December 5, 2011 Oh...and the best one is whichever one Baldrick is wearing. Totally! And all AP Divers are 111s anyways. Just buy what ever PAM Baldrick suggests.
mianos 0 Posted December 5, 2011 I am also looking for an AP Diver. My search also includes TD from RWI but so far, only from TDs here I have the following: I would rather a 28800 movement but would settle on a lower if it's cheap enough. None of this is looking at how close they are to gen. I'd rather a Selita than an ETA because it would be more likely the real deal but none of our TDs have them simply listed. The TDs from the other site do (I have a watch at puretime as it was DOA and don't plan on ordering anything from them until I get it back, no problem, just taking months). Asian 2836 copy is OK by me. Asia Chrono $345 + says it's an 2836 ETA (if it is who knows) 2(8800) http://www.asiakrono...etswiss_128.htm cheapie: 165.00 + says it's saphire http://www.asiakrono...etswiss_131.htm From Robert my prefered dealer: $189 28800 asian 2836 movement http://www.replica-w...=1 (that's a year old post, I have contaced Robert to see if he has these but no reply yet) cheapie from Robert: At 129 I'd probably get one to see if I like them: http://www.replica-w...=1 (those two would be my choices at the moment) From silix: 258.00 says Swiss ETA-2824 OK price if it is that movement, I doubt http://www.silix-pri...048-p-3909.html timeshop: $278 asia 2824 (host description of the movement, 28800) http://www.timeshops...eta-2824-2.html interesting note: CLASP TYPE: Insignia Single Fold Deployant That's the type on leather not on the rubber, pictures shot single tang, I'd love a deployant buckle if it was true torobravo: 188USD CLONE version 248USD SWISS ETA version great price if it's a real ETA, good price anyway for a clone movement http://www.replica-w...er&fromsearch=
Ari01 0 Posted December 6, 2011 All great info thanks guys. After some research and seeing pics that Del put up on another post I went with the PAM 292M from Josh and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I'd love to get a high quality AP Diver with a Blue dial.
mianos 0 Posted December 24, 2011 Unfortunately I ordered / paid for the one from Robert. Does anyone have a suggestion for try 2? Mary said no stock. Does anyone own any of the other ones?
mbjoer 0 Posted January 7, 2012 Unfortunately I ordered / paid for the one from Robert. Does anyone have a suggestion for try 2? Mary said no stock. Does anyone own any of the other ones? Reading this thread, it strikes me that the diver gets listed because it is one of the latest AP reps. I am not convinced it is particularly much better than a ROO Black Themes or a MBW Royal Oak. As I understand it (but I may be wrong and perhaps it is sorted) the diver has a major issue with the functionality: The bezel crown is not scred down on the rep. That would make it potentially lethal if used as intended and any diver who handles the watch would jump on that one. The RO and ROO have no such issues and are excellent reps. A separate issue with your question is outstanding orders from Robert. Here i know nothing, but my impression is that people are working on a solution so that not all orders are lost. If so, you may actually receive the watch you ordered. (Again let me know if I am wrong.) These points leads me to recommend that you buy a ROO Black Themes instead of the Diver. Not totally dissimmilar, really nice and no functionality issues.
mianos 0 Posted January 8, 2012 I believe the latest version has a screw down crown on the bezel crown. Have you got a black themes non chrono? I agree, one less crown is better anyway. I guess an a non chrono classic RO with a rubber band would be a better watch overall anyway. Coming up to CNY so there is not much I can do for another month. In all honesty although I'd like my money back, if they keep it for his kids that's no problem either. That's why I am planning on buy another watch anyway. No, the Black Themes i a chrono and as such has 3 crowns. The RO is available as non-chrono, but I am not aware of a good version with rubber band. If you look for non-chrono and rubber, you are pretty much left with the Diver. And if the screw down issue is sorted so much the better. mianos 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Theoretically you could buy a normal black faces Jumbo with a metal band fit a rubber diver band to it.
