If this ends up being more than a big replica wank session I will eat my Pam! No one (except for Freddy) has even bothered to speculate (with seriousness) about WHY the Chinese don't produce 1:1 Rolex cases. Best possible scenario - they'll invite you to the backroom on the watch market to show the finished sample, and you can make corrections, if needed. Just don't forget - factory will use these cases for their production line, and in a few days Josh will post "1:1 case, best Sub ever", etc, etc, on his site. Then people are asked to commit themselves and support tends to evaporate (call me cynical, but I've seen it happen a few too many times). I just hope Alan doesn't get himself into difficulties with this - it could be very worthwhile indeed if he gets solid support, but it could equally be an uphill struggle. I hope I'm wrong.
