Baldrick 1 Posted December 18, 2011 What's to be suspicious about, there are lots of small watchsmiths and shops that have loads of NOS, parts, straps, dials and rarities in BKK, this isn't unusual, same with the bullhead Citizens, there are old Breits, Heurs,Roamers and others available at Chatuchak market, The seller has 5k feedback and 99.4% + feedback and you think he's a scammer
powderfreak 0 Posted December 18, 2011 The seller has 5k feedback and 99.4% + feedback and you think he's a scammer Could well be legit, but feedback doesn't say anything - 99% rule...
Dr Yan 8 Posted December 18, 2011 Cmon Baldrick , im surprised at you. He could have faked his feedback by setting up another ebay account and buying thousands of items from himself and leaving positive feedback. The .6% would then be all the actual sales he made with negative feedback
DarkGlass 83 Posted December 18, 2011 Without entering the argument he does have some stuff

rolexfreak 0 Posted December 19, 2011 I Would say hes a genine seller with lots of old stock watches and parts could be a repair shop or bought a old watchmakers shop he does have some nice stuff though .
mulder 0 Posted December 19, 2011 99.4% of people dont know what they are buying. Its hard enough to find a 1950's of anything in good condition but 6 of them from the one person? He may or may not be a scammer but its just a little suspect to me thats all Im saying.

Baldrick 1 Posted December 20, 2011 i see your not well up on the concept of sarcasm Baldy No, but I'm well up at detecting failed attempts at 'conceptual' sarcasm, your attempt at 'established' sarcasm was confounded by your confusion caused by somebody placing two shovels against a wall and telling you to take your pick B)
guami007 0 Posted December 20, 2011 Sophon's feedback may be good but has a horrible reputation in many other watch fora for being a cobler of watches and selling them to unsuspecting buyers. Caveat emptor to the extreme with this seller.
Baldrick 1 Posted December 20, 2011 Links please....or it didn't happen?
Dr Yan 8 Posted December 20, 2011 Mediocre pseudo intellectual attempt at a retort. Followed by a very old paddy joke. Not your best baldy. You still didn't answer my question; what does my race have to do with this ?
opus9 0 Posted December 20, 2011 Cmon Baldrick , im surprised at you. He could have faked his feedback by setting up another ebay account and buying thousands of items from himself and leaving positive feedback. The .6% would then be all the actual sales he made with negative feedback Great sarcasm...what's even more poignant, is that for those that don't get sarcasm, dryan even left a laughing smiley, how much simpler does that get? I must be missing something here? and the shovel, pick, 'joke' was so funny,it had me rolling about for hours and hours...
Baldrick 1 Posted December 20, 2011 Well, first and foremost. This wasn't posted in the OT section, but was a serious question on the part of the OP....so sarcasm wasn't required. Secondly....if you saw my original post...you'll have noticed that it made no reference to you at all....I posted the addendum AFTER re-examining your pathetic attempt at sarcasm....the Irish question was me TROLLING you, to which bait you rose admirably, thank you for providing me with the 'old Paddy joke' opportunity, I don't get the chance to wheel out old stereotypical nuggets, let me know if you want me to trot out some others..... Lastly, the Irish aren't a 'race', they're an ethno-centric cultural group, no more of a race than the Engrish B)... @O9 I must be missing something here? You think that's GREAT sarcasm, you are missing something. 1. A clue. 2. A few more brain cells. 3. A connection to your synapses. 4. A (developed) sense of humour. 5. A weekend in Brighton. Now that the fools have been dispensed with, let's get back to the original subject, what is suspect about the seller?
opus9 0 Posted December 20, 2011 You do make me laugh balders..and that's why I throw a hook mate...lol regards Opus
Dr Yan 8 Posted December 20, 2011 Still doesn't answer my question; what does me being Irish have to do with anything on this forum ?
Baldrick 1 Posted December 20, 2011 You're even using some of my old nuggets B) The fact that you're Irish means you won't have a clue B)
Dr Yan 8 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Regarding idiots and fly paper. Congratulations on over 5500 scribbles on said idiot fly paper. And we thought you couldn't do irony. Edited December 20, 2011 by dryan
Dr Yan 8 Posted December 20, 2011 I wouldn't Have anything to do with your old nuggets. I'll leave you to play with them.

Caveat emptor to the extreme with this seller. What's wrong with this picture....a WATCHSMITH,,,,,,assembles a few parts and makes a decent watch from them...and it's mooted he's a 'scammer'....whereas ..a fresh 'out of the box' self-professed expert..lays down his Panny strap making felling axe and picks up a set of $2 screw-drivers and in the fullness of time presents his latest marvel..resplendent with A1 sauce patination and asks $1500 for it and is applauded and lauded by the slack-jawed slavering 'quasi-cognoscenti' that infest fake watch forums B)
