Radiomir Black Seal (PAM292M) now on black calf....phew!

Recommended Posts

Del

Finally, the black calf strap for my 292M arrived and has been fitted. :)

Bought from The Watch Boys, it is 26/22mm and 3.5 to 5mm thick, Italian black leather and is of excellent quality for only $29.95. Seriously, if someone told me they paid three times that I wouldn't have been surprised!

I also bought a 22mm PVD buckle to go with it since the one supplied with the 292M was 26mm.

As for fitting it, it went quite smoothly with no drama over lost screws or broken lug bars! One bar doesn't appear to have returned to its original position since there is a very slight sliver of steel showing - it may need pushing in another 1mm so I'll check that out later.

Sorry if this combo is boring now but I really wanted it to look similar to the gen and be able to wear it to work - I'm convinced that Radiomirs should be fitted with tapered straps rather than straight cut 26mm since they are finer and more dressy than the regular PAMs. All in my humble opinion of course! ;)

Here are some (pretty poor) pics for now, but I will take better ones another time. (Damn light tight is tricky to get used to :frusty: ) :-

The 292 is a fantastic rep. I think with the black calf, it looks really dressy.

Awesome , is it really big ? i've never worn a 44mm let alone 47 :\ but I really like the PVD "black" finish.. Ideally I want a stainless steel watch, brown leather, and 'blacked out' -- all black leather and face (pvd etc)... thx!

Well, firstly, it's only 45mm! ;) And, secondly, it wears smaller than 44mm PAMs so I wouldn't worry too much. (My wrist is only 6.75" so you can judge for yourself from my pics above..... :D )

Looking good Del :thumbsup2: Much nicer on the black strap. And I'm glad you avoided any drama with the strap change, a fiddly pain doing it though wouldn't you agree?

That’s a nice watch! Nice bracelet, it would be nice to see a side shot for thickness purposes :D

Nice one del, I agree these pams need a decent strap. I have ordered a peter gunny for mine. I thought I would put a spare strap I have on mine a Cayman Alligator from Florida, which has lots of bumps and looks like it's off a dinosaur)Just to see how fiddly and delicate etc changing the strap would be (the strap is also a 26mm not a 27mm, which does make a big difference..!) I have to say its a pain at first and we all need to start to know where to buy replacement screws in PVD etc for the future,as the pvd paint on the screws is very very thin. But the watch like yours, is a beauty..wear it well del and enjoy. Like you, I have ordered a tapered strap and have gone padded..lets hope it looks as nice as yours...(especially as I have gone tan not black).

If you find a supplier of PVD screws...please let us all know.
