Thanks very much guys. I've found all the advice very helpful, honestly. I know what I want to do (mostly) but it doesn't always turn out the way I expect! :lol:

More practice is required but I think I'll give it a rest for now - my family are wondering where I've been all day! :D

Akira - I'm actually using Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. I also have Photoshop Elements but haven't used it much.

Great shots mate, do you have a link where to buy the same light tent as yours?

I use an old cracked version of Paint Shop Pro 7, no need for anything more advanced than that :D;)

Those shots were in tents!

(Groan.)

Lovely photos, Del. I'm looking at your first thread now. I'm not sure what you did with the lights, but this batch is a big improvement.

Really wanting a blue SOH right now...

Thanks guys! :thumbsup2: (jeffw69 - :finger::lol: )

And thanks LHOOQ - considering how amazing your photos always are, I'm delighted that you like mine! :thumbsup:

The lighting was certainly helped by putting the light tent in the conservatory where there is an abundance of natural light to supplement the table lamps. Until I get better lamps, this is the way to go for me.

Need to get me a tent too!

Where'd you find that pic Sconey, that was actually pretty good for me :lol:

See how an overall immersion in diffused light improves over those dinky 'spots' aimed through the tent walls ;)

And the spectre of white walls reflected in the black dials nicely avoided.

I find these threads related to photographing watches very relevant. I've built a "poor man's version" of a light tent and have started practicing. The photos are way better than anything I have taken using natural light. I'm working on backgrounds and experimenting with lighting from different angles now. Hopefully, I'll some nice pics to post soon.

Thanks for sharing.
