I'm glad someone else appreciates it as much as I do, I can't wait to go swimming and give it a proper test :) (A whole 1.5m deep LoL)

What that's, the shallow end at the local swimming baths , but be careful the hardlex glass scratches easy (might have this put on it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270889128877&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123) but other than that can't complain

Greg sorry to read that about Rob it's a shame and you just don't know wots round the corner, got 5 watches from Rob thought my 6 was waiting for me at home now i know why it ant

How did you guess?

I had a look for sapphires too - it looks like Yobokies sells one for a decent price. I think they are a different size to others (a unique size?) unfortunately (from what I can find) so it may have to be from him!

I'll probably leave mine till I damage it, I reckon. That and the fact I am skint  lol

This is a thread with the price and contact details for Yobokies:

http://www.mwrforum.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44080

And this is a thread showing the results of adding a sapphire:

http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/yobokies-flat-sapphire-srp043-617404.html

Looks nice! Wish the AR was a bit stronger but I guess it would be possible to order one then go for Chief AR (if he is still doing runs?)

Some people have done other mods, like red seconds hand (not keen: http://www.monsterwatches.eu/eu/index.php/modificaties/modificaties3), Rolex mercedes hands (also not keen: http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=72384) and black ceramic bezel (nice! http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/anybody-modified-srp043-yet-456668-2.html), and you can apparently upgrade the movement to the hacking, handwind 6r15 (http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/japanese-asian-watch-forum/41949.htm), but I think I'll leave mine unmolested for a while lol

Oh, I don't know, he might appreciate that!

Let me know how you get on :) I think a massive domed sapphire, a la vintage rolex, would look good (IMO :P) but they seem not to exist yet and would be a scratch magnet! I believe the replacement he already offers is up to the 200m standard depth rating if fitted correctly with gaskets in good condition, so all should be fine :)

I would - superbly built, nearly perfect visually (lume dots are the only real giveaway, and they're tiny unless you have it in your hands and can look closely), not too big and not too small, and the AR is stunning - the crystal literally disappears from some angles :)

Crown Tube is delicate and can strip if you're heavyhanded, as I mentioned in the other thread, but I don't think you'll be disappointed if you order one, especially if you get yourself a decent mesh for it :)

And, in a worst case, you will be able to sell it on for what you paid, I reckon!

I've got a black and a blue one - I don't wear them very often as I worry about damaging them (I always manage to knock my watches into desks etc at work ) but they are superb!

I think Mary only has Asian ETA blue ones left. If they're the same as my black Asian ETA then the crown seems somewhat 'wobbly' when it is unscrewed, but it's not too bad, you just have to be gentle.

Oh, and to set the time/date, you have to set the date, set the time, then push it back to screw it in - if you do time then date the date-changing mechanism doesn't disengage properly when you're screwing the crown in on the Asian version, but it's easily worked round!

asian movement on this is OK (only because there's no swiss ones )?

Should be - no worries with mine, although you never know which factory the movement came from or how clean it is so it's always the luck of the draw lol

If the PR on it is woeful then Wiz can always sort you out ;)

I spotted that one (I think I might have posted a link to it above? Old age memory failure FTL lol )

Looks pretty good - not keen on the blue AR myself, I'd want to get it re-done by Chief if he does a run, but I reckon it's a good buy as is :)

I'm sure $46 is much cheaper than a replacement Hardex from Seiko!!

Might be me with the Old memory loss , who the fuck is Chief ? Yes it is a good buy and seiko quoted me £60 for a new Hardlex , not in a great rush to have mine done just yet ! so i might see wot happens with you and Chief Sitting Bull
