UK Based watch repairs

HI Does anyone know of a UK ased rolex wtach repairs.

 

most dealers and repairers here are USA based.

 

can someone point me in the right direction.

 

im wary of sending reps in post as they can be confiscated!!!

none in the UK at the moment, but we have a lot of good modders in Europe.

Was talking to Luthier about this kind of thing the other night on the shoutbox... he recommended Kenny or Wiz. Wiz is based in France, Kenny... erm... Latvia, croatia? I forget, somewhere like that (sorry Kenny, don't beat me!)

We're pretty lucky here in the UK, that kind of thing rarely happens. Should be doubley fine if you stick to EU.

I recommend Finedd or Domi in Germany besided Wiz and Kenny.

 

Finedd is one of the best with relume out there, along with the spinmaster.

He also does repairs on high end gen stuff and can be trusted with all kinds of repair.

 

Domi is in the business for quite some time, well respected!

Uwe is indeed one of the very best relumer out there, but I'm afraid he doesn't repair watches himself and just send watches for repair to Domi.

Uwe does do all his own repairs, he used to send some work to Domi but not any more.

the crown has come out of wm9 lv sub. i can put itt back in but the time can only be changed backwards and not forwards?

crown completely with the stem ? can you change also the date and wind up the watch ? looks like keyless issue

I've just started up a service on RG, based in London. The admins are in the process of going through invoices and details to approve it 'officially'.

Turnaround time for UK Rep forum members is being fast tracked (watchsmith is usually working on gen AP's and Rolex). It is currently about a week at the most.

There are a set of rules in place,you should have spoken to administration first.

While i want to believe in your good faith we (RG) have no prior knowledge,no proof and did not approve this.

This kind of offers have all the ingredients to turn ugly and in the interest of the community i won't let it run.

Considering the less than stellar record of modders recently it's probably the correct approach to take imo.
