jeffw69 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Well, I wanted a leather Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 in leather, so I did a lot of research and based on a ton of great reviews, I went with KB(Bergie's) from rwg.cc. I asked for one in leather, the price quoted was $320, pics looked good and I bought it. It arrived today, and I am a bit disappointed. This is definitely not leather, more of a very smelly cheap vinyl. I wouldn't have paid $50 for this on Canal St. in New York City Well, I have PM'd KB and hopefully he will make this right. Here are a few pics on the request of some members here I talked with in the shoutbox:
trailboss99 994 Posted January 10, 2012 Must be a mistake, Ken will make good. No way that is a 350 dollar bag.
RichyRichRolex 0 Posted January 10, 2012 The GEN In the store looks and feels like cheap plastic as well, thats a fact as I was there last weekend on 5th Ave ...

Chiquita Fanjita 1,782 Posted January 10, 2012 Thanks for posting pics Jeff. It does look a little plasticy. Did Ken confirm if he sent the wrong one? How does everything else feel on it, i.e. metalwork, zips, embossing etc.?

mianos 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Go into an LV store. A lot of those materials are stiff and 'plasticky'. I'm not saying yours is not crap or anything, just the real Mcoy is way stiffer than it looks. It should not smell like chemicals. I think for that price it should be a premium rep as you can get reps like that for as low as $30.
Gazillionaire 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Hope you get it sorted Jeff, I was going to purchase some LV stuff and KB is meant to be the best! So this doesn't fill me with confidence.
Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted January 10, 2012 that's a POS from Ken...true the real ones in canvas feel pretty cheap but in the leather like this one feel pretty good. I'm pretty sure he's a dropshipper as he's in OZ if I'm correct but the LV carry on bag I got from him was stellar this one looks like its from the dollar store. I'm sure mistakes happen as his supplier did the old switch-a-roo on him or something but yea, I'm sure he'll make good on this
schmooze 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Just look at the sewing. It looks like they used nails to punch holes for the thread to go through. Bayonet point (spear tipped) needle needs to be used, were it looks like the factory have used a blunt round point needle, that's a dead givaway. I've seen some top glass LV reps on my visits to Shanghai and I know that the factories always use sharp bayonet point when sewing leather or PU. These same factories also make gen bags for other companies. This seemingly small stitching detail is the most common reason that gen bags get rejected by QC agents. I was in the Sydney Bally store not so long ago with my wife and after my visit, 3 bags and 2 pair of shoes were removed from the shelves after I picked them to shreds. For gen Bally they were appalling, for Guess, they would have been acceptable.
andygt 0 Posted January 11, 2012 Even for a decent Keepall rep $320 is way too much, mate. You can generally get anything Bergies offers for at least half the price from elsewhere. By the way you'll struggle to get a really good Keepall, and they all stink of chemicals till they've been aired for a while.
Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted January 11, 2012 the Pegasse 55 business I got from Ken was around the same price and leaps and bounds better...trying to find some pics of it

andygt 0 Posted January 11, 2012 Mary, Toro, or ioffer. For example the exact same iPad cases he sells for $180 are $30 or less on ioffer.
turnipz 0 Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Same thing had happend to me a while back, definitely ask for pictures before ordering from him as he just uses stock photos. Good luck dealing with his "employees", I was pretty furious when I was told I had to email someone who didnt speak proper english and he had no idea what he sells looks like. But thats why this rwg is better, no drop shipping allowed. Edited January 11, 2012 by turnipz

Gazillionaire 0 Posted January 11, 2012 Mary, Toro, or ioffer. For example the exact same iPad cases he sells for $180 are $30 or less on ioffer. Yeah but isn't ioffer very risky as one you may not get anything or 2 you may get really crappy quality, unless you know which dealers are good on ioffer that you've used? I will try Mary, want to order a Daimler graphite marco wallet, Daimler graphite iPhone case, a Daimler graphite washbag and maybe one of the Daimler graphite bags. I didn't know Toro did LV stuff also so will shoot him off an email soon also. It just seems more cut throat getting the best LV stuff than watches lol. I know there are great reps of the LV stuff it's just knowing who to go with.
jeffw69 0 Posted January 11, 2012 KB just pm'd me, he wants to know why I think it is not leather! I have to send him pics. He said the gorl who works fpr him has been with him 5 years, yada yada.O hope he is not going to be a prick about this.
wat44 0 Posted January 11, 2012 I bought a SENSATIONAL LV man-bag from KB over two years ago and its going strong he relies on people in china to send out for him and occassionaly bad stuff is sent - but he fixes any problems
DeLaForce 2 Posted January 11, 2012 $320... Fuwkin Nora, sorry mate it's always hard to tell by pics, and I do agree some of my Gen LV bags have a sheen that does make them feel slightly plastic. I hope this gets resolved !!!
James. 4 Posted January 11, 2012 I've never understood the allure of LV crap... We all love rep watches...we enjoy reps that look as close as possible to gens. With LV, everything looks rep, even the gen stuff. It's so out of control, everytime I see someone walking around with an LV bag, it's just assumed its fake. I work near the LV maison in Sydney as seen and felt and luckily talked the missus away from one of their bags....phew....the gen stuff feels fake to begin with. If you want a designer bag, look at mulbery or MB, Dunhill, Bally etc. And you can spot pleather from a mile away, if you're gunna splash $350.00 on a rep bag, gotta, gotta guarantee its 100% NATURAL - natural being the operative word here, leather. Alot of rep bag sites use PU leather and still call it "100% leather" live and learn.
jeffw69 0 Posted January 11, 2012 http://www.urbandict...p?term=pleather pleather 7 up, 42 down Pleather is the result of exposing human skin, especially in the face area, to massive amount of semen in the course of many years. The most affected individuals can be found in the porn industry. Q. Did you ses Jenna Jameson lately? What happend to her face? A. After so many years doing porn her face turned pleather. what would you expect! Pleather 9 up, 12 down A lesbian who wears a pleather jacket and/or attempts to look like Missy Elliott. These lesbians are rarely seen alone and thus the term 'pleather' can be used as a collective noun for a group of Missy Elliott lesbians. This can also be referred to as a 'pleather army'. Other features of a pleather include fat shoes with unnecessarily long tongues. In the lesbian world this is like a man with a small penis driving a Ferrari. Also, some lesbians try to hide their pleatherness by saying that their jacket is real leather or they have owned it for some 'no one gives a shit' amount of time. They are still a pleather. Oh fucking great, the pleathers have arrived.
