Member X 91 Posted October 22, 2009 I have to say, these type of IWC watches have never really spoken to me but this one with the blue dial looks a lot classier - it's a great choice! Will look forward to some wristies in the sun

Luthier 1 Posted October 22, 2009 It would be nice to see the full watch, have you got a full pic X. Fantastic!!! How big is it?
Member X 91 Posted October 22, 2009 http://www.replica-watch-guide.net/forum/i...?showtopic=2089 It's 43mm I think - wears nicely, not too big but not too small. The gen is platinum, auto and $40k I think LOL but I do love my one - the dial changes colour dependant on the ambient light and angle of viewing, so you can have a white faced watch with silver markings turn into a cream face watch with gold markings The AR is amazing, the A6497 is as bombproof as they usually are, the dial has a great texture... Strap is the usual plastic affair but does actually look alright on it I've swapped mine off for a stingray strap (I know I know, sorry lol) and it makes it more of an evening watch, but you can just about get away with it during the day! Only things to watch out for are the subdial printing on the white faced ones (the black faced one is also nice - lani posted pictures on the 1939 thread on RWG2) and the fact that there appears to be a couple of different versions - this one is the $108 one but the cheaper one has a different dial finish that isn't as nice IMO. It would be interesting to see what Mary would ask for this!
