solkryssare 109 Posted March 15, 2012 This is pretty decent. http://www.1-pc8838.com/0rlsd00077-classic-dweller-p-11800.html http://www.1-pc8838....13-p-12018.html
deg26 0 Posted March 15, 2012 Both look very good. Whats the difference in price? Do they both have the little crown etched at 6oclock or is that just the high end rep?
Member X 91 Posted March 15, 2012 I wouldn't worry too much about the etched crown on the crystal - it's tiny and not noticeable unless you're handing it to someone to look at, which is not wise if you are trying to pass it off as a gen! :P
deg26 0 Posted March 15, 2012 Take that as no then. Whats the price difference between the 2? Movement?
fatarms 7,795 Posted March 15, 2012 Take that as no then. Whats the price difference between the 2? Movement? I'm kinda new to this too, but yes, I would say movement is a pretty big factor. One is 28800 bph and the other is 16600 bph. The first would have a much smoother second hand movement.
cobn 0 Posted March 15, 2012 the second mevement is 21.000bhp also known as 21J first movement is 28800, correct. would go for the movement with 28800, more reliable and a waaaayyy smoother second hand sweep. way more gen like

Wardy 0 Posted March 15, 2012 They do look DAMN good. Awaiting the arrival of my first rep and already am planning out my next purchase..lol, I didn't see "Perfect Clones" listed as a trusted dealer, are they not? Any feedback on them and also, I didn't see any engraving on the rehault..??? Did I over look something?
Member X 91 Posted March 16, 2012 Perfect Clones are in the list of acceptable dealers, I think? but they are not one of the preferred dealers for this forum. All of the dealers shop in the same place and have access to the same watches, so send a link to what you are looking for to the Trusted Dealer of your choice and they can tell you if it is available and give you the price I don't believe the SeaDweller is supposed to have rehaut engraving. Wardy 0 Posted March 17, 2012 I don't believe the SeaDweller is supposed to have rehaut engraving. You're right...I believe its actually on the lock ring. Read a big review over on RWI done by one of the members whom did a tear down of a gen DSSD.
Luthier 1 Posted March 17, 2012 SD and DSSD - different watches.
Wardy 0 Posted March 17, 2012 SD and DSSD - different watches. Whoops...Shit. Now you're right! I've looked at so many damn reps in the last few days they're starting to run together. Sorry for the hi-jack "deg26".......now, I'll shut my face and keep reading
deg26 0 Posted March 17, 2012 Dont worry mate its all good to know
trailboss99 996 Posted March 17, 2012 Correct, the engraving is a recent addition to the Rolex line, within the last few (4?) years so older models such as the SD won't have it. As for the crown on the crystal, probably better if it isn't there TBH. The gen one is very fine and is invisible to the naked eye. All the rep efforts at re-producing it are far to noticeable. duke 0 Posted March 30, 2012 This is the new SD and it no laser etched crown at the 6 o'clock. It's actually a very good rep, some say even better than the SSD of old.
