Pronounciating "Hublot"

Recommended Posts

So wanting to sound more educated that I am, how is "Hublot" pronounced?.

Is it:

Hew-blut

Hue-blut

Hew-blot

Hue-blot

Or am I completely off base here? :)

Indeed "U" nailed it, except in the "U"S, when someone sees "u"rea, "u"topia, "u"vula, they're sometimes tempted to add a "y" sound in front of it.

It was easier to point this out with the "you blow" example.

You blow?

You'd think they would've taken that into consideration when naming a company :)

It's been said that, Hublot's pronunciation is the same as the noise a Frenchman makes when he vomits......just sayin'
