Chiquita Fanjita 1,805 Posted April 5, 2012 Looks like its going to be the Cartier Santos 100 has anyone seen/got a quartz one of these? good quality rep still? Mine below, although a Chrono, is a quartz. It originally came from Robert and is 41mm and uses the same casing as the A7753 version so is high quality. Being a quartz movement the chrono is fully functioning too. It also has a great black leather strap with deployant and solid engraved caseback. Well worth the money if you don't want to spend too much
adamt 0 Posted April 5, 2012 that looks great, where did you buy from? i want this but not the chrono model
NFleischer 4,355 Posted April 5, 2012 You have to get the cheaper version of the Cartier. I'd look at Narikaa, he has a lot of nice 21J & quartz reps. How about a Franck Muller?
Chiquita Fanjita 1,805 Posted April 5, 2012 that looks great, where did you buy from? i want this but not the chrono model It originally came from the late, great Robert (Prestige Watch Co) http://www.rwgboard.com/board/index.php?showforum=73. Mary & Rochest at Watch International might be able to source you a quartz non-chrono Santos

adamt 0 Posted April 5, 2012 so does anyone know the difference between the santos 100 and santos 100 xl?
RichardMiami 4 Posted April 5, 2012 so does anyone know the difference between the santos 100 and santos 100 xl? It can be confusing. Generally, it looks like this: Santos Mid = 33mm x 33mm Santos Regular = 38.5 x 38.5 Santos XXL = 41.5 x 41.
adamt 0 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) ok thanks, as i have a thin narrow wrist i will go for the mid or regular but i dont want the face too small that it looks like a womens watch i will measure my current square face watch to see the difference, but how should i measure the face? diagonally? RichardMiami 4 Posted April 5, 2012 noooooooooooo.. measure the outside of case, excluding the lugs and the crown... here ya go.... point of arrow to point of arrow
adamt 0 Posted April 6, 2012 i am currenty wearing this tag carrera: it is 41m , and as i have thin narrow wristws, this is the maximum size i could take without it looking too big i have read comments on the cartier santos 100 being too big for peoples wrist but the face is 38.5 does the fact the carrera is round and the santos is square make a difference in therms of its size when comparing the dimensions? even if the square is bigger mm for mm, surely he 2.5mm difference would balance it out? ali1878 0 Posted February 27, 2015 i would play it safe with the 38.5mm, espically as it is a square faced watch
