brett sinclair 0 Posted May 1, 2012 New here :-) What brought me here ? Well I used to think that replicas were craps, the kind of toy that even a 2 year's old baby could easily spot the differences from a gen. I was wrong. As I am very crazy about details, I found myself very confused when I try to compare a noob pam seen on this forum with a genuine picture ! I used to think that this underground business was full of scammers. I was (partly )right. But I've now heard about Mary, BK... and understood it was possible to deal with confidence. I used to be happy with $100~$300 casual watches like Paul smith, Diesel and so on, until I had a close look. quartz, mineral glass, poor materials... I understood then I only paid for the design and the brand name (many are made in China though)... I think I'll find a better quality and good automatic movements for the same price here, Am I right ? I discovered this forum, and I am astonished by everyone's passion about reps and the quality of some watches. I became fascinated myself. It won't take long until I make up my mind and get a nice rep ! Thanks
trailboss99 996 Posted May 1, 2012 Welcome mate. Oh hell yes, a diesel watch costs about 5 dollars to make, no joke. the rest is advertising and promotion. Even a Rolex Submariner only costs Rolex around 6 to 7 hundred to make. 300 or so is more than enough to buy a lovely watch that if cared for will far outlast the Diesel no worries.
