Member X 91 Posted May 8, 2012 Sunday and Monday just gone, 39mm 2010 Explorer 1: A serious favourite, probably the only Rolex I would buy in the Gen. I wasn't 100% sure about it but it's understated yet makes a statement, is clean and uncluttered, and is as good with a suit as it is as casual I need to send it to Wiz for superlume, a service (doesn't autowind very well at all!) and waterproofing! Today is Noob 112M, pic stolen from Gianton because I haven't got any :P lol Again, probably another favourite that I would consider buying in the Gen. Casual yet smart, clean and simple dial, goes with most things and everything if I could be arsed to change straps lol

irate03 0 Posted May 8, 2012 I was hoping to be wearing this new build this week... But I tried to give the case a bronzed look by heating the metal and this happened.... I was trying to put something together using a cheap old watch case and left over parts from my PAM vintage build.... oh well, you live and learn.
Prancuzas 0 Posted May 8, 2012 oh, what a pity, looks to me like A LOT of heat was put.. Today with my fantasy breitling on a new strap

Trolex 0 Posted May 8, 2012 VERY nice mate! Both watch and car! I love the interior of the XF. It is a XF right? Thank you and THANK YOU for turning me on to vintage rollies!! I've had a great time fooling around with the watch to give it the right look. The bleach worked a little bit quicker on the insert than I had planned (only about 2:30 in uncut bargain brand bleach in direct sunlight, should have done about 20-30 seconds less). I also reshaped the lugs a bit after I got home last night (after that picture was taken). Probably the most enjoyable watch I have at the moment. Oh, and yeah it's an XF - good eye! solkryssare 109 Posted May 8, 2012 It looks great mate. And the insert looks perfect imo. I remember the first time I sat in a XF. I was completely blown away by the interior. So clean and stylish. While still having that slight space shuttle feel that geeks like me appreciate
