mostling 40 Posted June 1, 2012 Ordered the Ocean Racer strap a couple days ago, think it'll be pretty damn sweet with it on, still too bad the watch isn't 44-45mm tho.
digger2 0 Posted June 2, 2012 I ordered one the other day when I got a 20 USD "coupon" from Mark for another deal, great watch! I will not get mine relumed after seeing what happened to Dels watch, I think the markers are very fragile. Bobbylah: 92 USD for this watch if it is the same chassis, lume and sapphire crystal must be the bargain of the year, didn't know that and I don't find it on his site, do you have a link? I just emailed Michelle and asked the question. Did not get much of a response when asking for pics, just a note that said 'That is new model ,so can not see in my webiste . IMy factory said it is the same as your photo .i can sent the QC pcs before ship . Any question ,let me know .' Guess you would not find out until you saw these. Hopefully the price diff. is solely due to the movement. Ok, I hope it is then I know for sure what to give some children in the family for christmas! Silix gas them on his site now - item BRE239. Only issue I see is that the second hand is all yellow, not just the end. I think it looks like a fantasy mix of the 44 and 42 mm models with very strange crown guards and it also has mineral crystal.

conx 0 Posted June 5, 2012 I'm excited and it's not mine Also interested to know if it smells of vanilla like the one that comes with the rep?
prelude91 0 Posted June 5, 2012 I'm excited and it's not mine Also interested to know if it smells of vanilla like the one that comes with the rep? Are you referring to the Ocean Racer Strap? It does have a vanilla smell to it.
conx 0 Posted June 5, 2012 The strap that comes with the abyss has a strong smell of vanilla. At least the one that came with my blue version did.

Yep, and it isn't a chemically vanilla smell, it is more pleasant smelling, almost coconut-ish if that makes sense.
mostling 40 Posted June 6, 2012 Exactly! This is how i described it in the thread i made for the red abyss: It also has a nice smell, most say it smells vanilla, but i think it smells more like coconut (think coperton)or maybe a mix of vanilla/coconut. kieron1968 0 Posted June 17, 2012 what are the visable differences to the original? Cheers
Luthier 1 Posted June 17, 2012 I don't know, guys... I do understand all your excitement, but I don't really like this watch. The hour markers are too big, even bigger than bezel markers. Somehow it looks unbalanced. Beautiful case, rehaut, but the dial... kinda weird. But it's my personal taste, of course.

prelude91 0 Posted June 18, 2012 what are the visable differences to the original? Cheers The Lume is not as strong as the Gen, other than that, I have not found any tells. This is really one of the best out of the box reps. If your OK with the small-ish size, it is a great watch!
Hazz 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Nice, I got the Red one, but now I want the yellow.

This is really one of the best out of the box reps. If your OK with the small-ish size, it is a great watch! Hey there! I'm a newbie looking to buy a first good rep. I had my eyes set on this upgraded version of a PAM 111 with the Asso strap: http://www.rwgboard.com/board/index.php?showtopic=29902 but after seing this Breit in yellow I really can't make up my mind! What would you recommend? I absolutely love the Asso strap but I'm scared the PAM 111 is both too big and too shiny. What's the difference between an Asian and Swiss movement? (Sorry if it's a dumb question) BIG THANK YOU!
Luthier 1 Posted June 19, 2012 Yes, it is a dumb question. Asian made in Asia, Swiss made in Switzerland.

mostling 40 Posted June 19, 2012 Yes, it is a dumb question. Asian made in Asia, Swiss made in Switzerland. More of a dumb answer IMO. So the only difference is where they are made.. Good to know...

Good to know... Here is the FAQ on movements found in replicas. I would start there and then let us know if you still have questions. http://www.rwgboard....?showtopic=6930 P.S. Don't mind Luth, he's west coast time so he is just now rolling out of bed. That post was before he's taken his morning meds and before he's done his daily anger management exercises.
