mbjoer 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Since I saw this topic I liked this model. It just looks great on the pictures. So when a similar one came up for a private sale I jumped to get it. So this is what I got: Same as King O's above, but with a cream dial and AR treatment. From the front it looks and feels like a real PP, even if it is a fantasy. The colour scheme is typical of Patek and it is very elegant. I also liked the idea of a flip back, again something very Patek. From the back and unopened it looks good: The movement is a (Swiss?) ETA, and looks good if you are not familiar with Pateks own movements: Unfortunately the inside is not too well executed. While it has all the hallmarks it should have - and full credit for that - they are so shallow that they can barely be seen and certainly not convince the untrained eye. In my books a big negative as my threshold is the extent to which a watch is plausible, rather than accurate: Also the hinge could have been better made. In all a bit of a shame because the flip back is a main feature of this watch. Still I think I will keep it. Finally some wrist shots:
coolin 0 Posted August 23, 2010 I love the simplicity of the dial, keeping it simple makes a PP rep more believable IMO Col
