dingle 57 Posted November 9, 2009 I received my 183 friday. Awesome piece except something is wrong with the movement. I found out it is fully wound but the second hand only runs until it hits the 40 sec mark. I can turn the crown 1/4 turn and it will start back but with the same result. I am going to take houndoggies and rep-racers advice and send it back to sead if my watchsmith can do anything with it.I gave it to him today to see what ,if anything he can do. any comments? any others had this happen before? jameo210369 0 Posted November 9, 2009 Nice to here that you sent her to a watchsmith rather than just send her back, I am hoping that it will be a quick fix. a bit of grease on the dial or something silly. If it isn't you can send her back knowing you've tried your best DB
KBH 7 Posted November 9, 2009 anybody else care to chime in? Sounds like something simple. Probably a 10 minute fix.
dingle 57 Posted November 9, 2009 anybody else care to chime in? Sounds like something simple. Probably a 10 minute fix. man i hope so. this watch is sick. especially the lume.
prestigewatchco 2 Posted November 9, 2009 At a guess I would say the dial is loose. Either the retaining screw needs tightening or the leg has snapped off either is a simple fix. Worst it could be is if it's been relumed they have used too much lume and the dial is too thick in that event not such an easy fix
mad dawg 0 Posted November 9, 2009 As per above, I am also suspicious the seconds hand is catching on something. Is it touching the hour or minute hands?
dingle 57 Posted November 10, 2009 As per above, I am also suspicious the seconds hand is catching on something. Is it touching the hour or minute hands? nope. the hour and minute hands are free and clear. The second hand looked to be sitting "low" as in "right up" against the dial. Member X 91 Posted November 10, 2009 Might just need the hands re-setting then? My BP scrapes around the bottom half of the face :( so I need to get mine done too! Unless they've used the wrong movement and the cannon pin is too short?? (I think that's the terminology?)

dingle 57 Posted November 12, 2009 went to the post office today to ship it back and they are closed form 1:00 to 2:00. WTF. my patience is starting to wear thin.
dingle 57 Posted November 18, 2009 Well I shipped the watch back to the address that was on the original package. I have recently found out that his return address is different than the one he ships from.WTF! The watch shows being delivered on 11/14 but I have yet to receive a confirmation from sead that he actually got it. Noob mistake I guess. May have lost $320.00 down the tubes. Has this happened to anybody else? bummed, dingleberry
AustinTech 0 Posted November 18, 2009 I bet it will turn up. Just may take Sead a bit longer to get it turned around to you.
