KeNnY 29 Posted May 18, 2012 Hey all A friend of mine has got his beloved watch, and he wanted to put it back in nice working shape, that means just to replace the crystal an replace the band. I also light polished the case and caseback with cape cod (I didn't had the polishing tool accessory for my dremel at that time, now I have) and greased all orings, reseted the movement, added new battery, sealed the watch, made 3 Bars pressure test. I added Sapphire crystal instead the mineral one into the watch. SO I made it a bit higher quality lol. THe stock lume is really good so he didn't want relume. BEFORE pics AFTER PICS He is very happy Personally I don't know if it was worth it, but the watch has got real sentimental value to him, I think his father gave it to him or something. Thanks for looking

Also 50 years old Molnija movement waiting to be refurbished and used in some BIG EGI Project I have at least 10 of them. Hard to find time. if you have time, could you please make some pictures of the keyless ? Just to compare... I had today taken again closer look at it, what to do, but I am thinking of ultra hand polish the parts, when I will make service to it, with ultrasonic cleaning and oiling, to give it some really nice look to them, atleast on some parts. Still thinking on what.. I will then probably use the movement in my future PROJECT MARS
