Way to 'hack' a 6497/8?

Recommended Posts

''Actually there is a way to hack the 111.

While at full wind the mainspring is to powerful to hack the movement with slight back pressure on the crown, allowing the watch to fully wind down and giving it just enough to start the seconds hand allows one to "hack" the small seconds hand with slight back pressure.''

Just going to try this now...:irish_dance:

Let the watch stop completely. Then slowly wind it 'till the watch starts working then stop. Set the time and if you apply slight backward pressure on the crown it'll stop the second hand. Ideally do this when the second hand is at zero, then release the pressure on the crown in sync with whatever source your setting your watch to, the second hand should restart. Once you're happy it's in sync, fully wind the watch...
