gazpacho 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Hi! Just got my first rep (a Cartier Santos w/ leather strap)! Got a replacement alligator strap from the AD for $375 (!), but it was beautiful... how long should I expect to be changing straps? Yearly? Twice a year?
James. 4 Posted June 18, 2012 depends on how long it's on your wrist! I used to wear a raymond weil daily for about 1.5 years and went through 2 leather straps in that time. 'gator might have a longer/shorter life span. I suggest you buy some more watches, just to be on the safe side
UmpaHimself 223 Posted June 18, 2012 I've never worn one consistently enough to wear through it.
jacobarch 0 Posted June 18, 2012 A good steel band should last you forever. Leather.......well depends on the quality.
James. 4 Posted June 18, 2012 actually, in hindsight, once you can smell it, replace it. Rule of thumb
