Hi from a newbie

Recommended Posts

vemo

So glad I found this forum. I was almost taken in by that iParadisiac.co website and the watchesbyjames.net scam!

In any case - glad to join you guys. I am a watch fanatic without the funds to match my wants. I own a genuine TAG Link which I wear everyday, but would love a few more choices, and Replicas seem the only way to go.

On my wishlist right now are a Rolex Daytona (maybe a Submariner), a Panerai (probably a Luminor Marina), and a TAG Carrera or Monaco.

I'll start trolling the boards, but any experiences you can share with replicas of these watches would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.

Watchesbyjames guy is an idiot. Wouldn't know a decent rep if he was smacked in the face by one.

Wow, your experience almost parallels mine exactly. After finding that Watchesbyjames site, I decided to do a bit more research and found this site.

I, too, own a gen. In my case, it's an Omega Speedmaster Pro I bought on a whim 5 years ago from an AD at Crystal City in Washington, DC. My tastes, however, go beyond my means so that's why I'm entering the world of reps.

I started looking for a Daytona, but after learning more about the available reps, I decided to wait and bought a GMT Master II for my first.

Definitely read as much as you can here. There is a lot of information to help noobies. But of all the tips I've read, this helped me the most:

Find a TD that you want to work with and then select the rep you want to buy.

After that, patience is the key word. Don't rush into things and don't expect everything to be instantaneous.

Welcome to the forum and I hope your experience will be as good as mine has been!

Welcom to the forum.

As Luther said Read !!!!! the more you read , the more you learn, the wiser you'll be.. no chance of getting scammed..! no chance of that here anyway just stick to the T/Ds list and you will be ok.

There is a wealth of experience and knowledge here, just do a little research first.

Good luck

Thanks for the welcoming words! (Even you, Powermax).

Looks like a Rolex DSSD may be in my future.

Then a Panerai...

Then...

I'm going to go broke here, right?
