Baldrick 1 Posted July 2, 2012 Told you already Scone....you don't need a macro lens for watch fotys.....a Tamron 90mm lens will suffice for watches as long as it has a reasonably close focusing distance....you want humongous close-ups...set it to your highest resolution and crop...cheap macro...even if you want to do 'macro' close-ups of movements...! Your photos are good....not very contrasty tho'....and the colour is off.....all you need is a little practice....in Photoshop. ALTHOUGH..it depends on what you wish to achieve...if you want natural HONEST photos....do as you are doing...if you want great photos...learn to use your camera's settings and PS...! If you want smaller apertures...set your camera to manual mode...if your camera has auto-bracketing...set it 1 full stop either side....if your shooting in daylight WB correctly...if under artificial light...try to use 5500k bulbs...and use a tripod at all times....and self-timer or remote shutter release ..! Oh....and 'spot' your images ! PPS....you don't need small apertures to show DOF....! f8 f36
