The real strength of this board lies in its membership - when it's as much fun as this place is, running the board is a real pleasure. I'm glad that our little server emergency didn't ruin things - I'll admit I was getting a bit stressed on our birthday as I was expecting us to be shut down at any minute. I spent a good part of the day getting our new server ready for us so that we could jump when needed. Fortunately we made it through until the following day - and the birthday itself was a blast! I'm sure Col would want to join me in thanking each and every one of you for your support and enthusiasm. I don't know any other watch forum where we can have such a laugh but at the same time not be at risk of being moaned at, especially when we ask potentially dumb questions This is by far and away feeling like home compared to the other places! This first year has flown over, any doubts we had about this forum 'not making it' were completely unfounded. Under Greg and Col's guidance, along with the effort they put in and level-headed moderation, this forum can only grow. Let's face it, most of us are members elsewhere but here is THE place to be... John contacted me and evidently many others and arranged for us to use the loony bin on RWGjr. Then when this site went up he did the same, trying to track down everyone and get them here. graman 2 Posted November 26, 2009 Echoing the thanks to Greg, Col & John. You guys are passionate, and very dedicated to this community. As a result, it's always been home, and felt like home. RWG1.1 is a special place among boards...there is nothing like it, and that is because of the people it attracts who stay. Nowhere else, do you see such dedication to an online community, and especially no other watch forum. All other services etc aside, you guys are far too humble, and my words are far too insufficient.
