Frank'ening an Omega PO

Recommended Posts

boka

So, I've been recently toying with the idea of upgrading my omega 45 po with a geniune bezel and face. I know there's people in the EU who do this stuff, but I'm wondering where I'd be able to source the original parts from, and how difficult it could be to do it myself.

Any help is much appreciated :)

I dont get the adding gen bits to reps idea. Many people here do it and spend tons making something that's still not real and never will be but each to their own. Things is with Pams and Rolex the originals are so dear but if you are so desperate to have a "real looking" PO save up all you can and by a decent 2nd hand one.

Just my thoughts, soon someone else will be on to tell you what you really want to hear!

There are a bunch of places to find yourself gen parts for the PO.

Ebay(be careful), Ofrei, Cousins UK, every once in a while here on the forums.

Maybe check Watchuseek as well.

Here is R2D4's part list for the UPO, this should get you on the right track.

There was an identical thread about this same question on this board about a month ago. Contained links to an uberthread about modding the PO on one of the other forums.

seek and you will find boka

The problem is that there are so many different words that could be used in the topic line or in the text of such a thread, so despite searching, I've been unable to find it. I might be new to this forum, but I'm not new to forums in general, I know to search before I start a new thread.

Good one Cyril!

FYI.

The correct form of address is "nice one Cyril".

It's a British thing. ;)
