callumcook 0 Posted July 15, 2012 Hi guys Im having a bit of a problem taking off and adjusting the bezel on my seamaster(silix).I have read a few posts and pictures on the site and also on other websites but when i try and take the rotating bezel off with thin edge of knife e.t.c it won't budge.I don't want to end up ruining my watch but it is just that the bezel isn't sitting properly on the watch at the moment and was wanting to try and fix it.Anybody have any better ideas to try as it will be appreciated. Cheers guys
10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted July 16, 2012 In general: remove the movement, crystal and then insert. work the retaining wire out with a small screwdriver while working the bezel up. and, if you do, you probably won't get it back on again.
callumcook 0 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) what the problem is is the bezel seems pretty loose on the watch at the moment, and i would like to try and tighten it up a bit...i have read about the dental floss way and although it does sound a decent way of tightening it up,i would like to be able to remove the bezel just incase in the future i wanted to replace it.As for moving the crystal....maybe i'll leave that for another day...
