powderfreak 0 Posted July 25, 2012 So back on topic, I received an interesting bit of info from a long time member who uses Vac services that he is not actually a watchsmith, only a modder. Vac only does AR and lume himself, and any other mov't servicing, water testing, etc included in his new stock offerings he takes to a watchsmith locally. Anyone know if that is actually true? I have no reason to doubt this member, just thought he was actually a watchsmith himself. If that is true he's doing pretty much the same what Smidsy does (or - for the sensitive ones among our readership - was acused of)?! Anyways, doing so is fine, but he should openly tell his customers upfront that it's not him who does the services etc... But in the end it's all speculation and doesn't change anything. I posted, came back to the thread a little later and my post didn't show. I was under the impression that my browser fucked up (wouldn't be the first time, especially on edge-speed on the phone) So, I reposted and got a PM from Greg an hour later, saying that he made my post invisible. My post wasn't offensive to anyone, except that slight wordplay on Balad's behalf, but simply speaking my mind. Admittedly, with a shit-stirring attitude, but that's nothing new... Probably against the new board rules - I haven't read yet. Anyways, just because you handled that situation really mature and didn't use any unnecessary insults, I won't even tell you where to stick your "extended holiday promise".
