The crowns look gen, hmm don' you have some Vintage rolex 1680 with rep crown ? You should see the difference asap, if they are 703 crowns

nothing to compare,got these as they were cheap, now need to find a tube, to fit the sub. these are 703's

Crown vs. 3dot position is different between the 2 crowns

 

my question is relative to the crown dot position is there a difference from year to year and model to model??

BECAUSE THESE 2 ARE DIFFERENT! I also have one that finally arrived from this seller. It is different from those 2 so 3 different designs from same seller and all gen????

 

also have a gen set that was in package new never opened and they are also slightly different....plus KeNny just finished 1680 build and the set I sent him were also gen never opened they are also different from these???

The lower crown looks like a modern 704 service crown (monobloc construction version of 703 ) - cant see how you can be sure on authenticity from what is shown here?

 

The upper crown with stretched/deeper Rolex Crown insignia is a much earlier version and should be 'wrapped construction'

 

You can tell the construction by looking at the leading edge of the knurled section - from the pics its hard to say, but the two outer ones in the pic on the red surface look monobloc - but if they are all monobloc (not wrapped) then you have to doubt authenticity, on at least one of them.

 

703/704's fit the same tube. The fact that they may have both fitted directly onto Rep tubes also raises a doubt? If that is what you are showing?

Took off one of the crowns, it fits directly to a gen tube, now I need to figure how to get tube of watch to try the gen.
