HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 18, 2012 Thought I'd post a quick side by side compare of my (2) PO's. The 21J came from WI via this link: http://www.rwg.bz/bo...ga&fromsearch=1 The UPO came from MR but the link no longer works. The price was $208 from MR. The 21J is just that, a 21J Asian Auto, The UPO is Asian 2824. I have to say at $88.00 I was not expecting much from the WI watch. Man was I wrong. If I had known the quality of this watch I likely would not have ordered the UPO from MR. With the exception of the pearl the watch stacks up nicely with the UPO. Side by side: (21J left) Both watches are very close size and weight wise. The UPO is a tad bit heavier but not so much as you could notice without having both in each hand simultaneously. You can see that the 21J HE valve is not quite right and both the HE valve and crown are a little tall on the 21J. Here's a side by side of the movement. Sorry for the shaky video. Not a lot of difference between the dials. The lettering on the UPO seems a little more crisp. The font on the date window on the 21J seems to be left justified. The crown on the UPO (first pic) is shorter has less knurls but has a more shallow logo. The logo on the 21J crown is a bit more pronounced. The bezel fluting on the UPO is through which is gen like for the aluminum bezel while the 21J is angled and round which I don't think matches the more squared flute on the gen ceramic. The straps are almost identical (UPO first pic). The case back on the UPO has better definition. The frosted background looks much nicer on the UPO than the knurled background on the 21J. Not sure which is more gen like as I've seen both types. Pearl is much better on the UPO (first shot). The 21J has a pronounced Blue AR while the UPO is fairly colorless. Not sure about the GEN. The case and bezel are thicker on the UPO (first shot). Also the 21J has a more curved case. Lume shots With the exception of the pearl all other items are fairly small for me. The money is in the movement but for me the main concern is the reliability, I have no issues with any of my 6 watches with 21J.
