gtwc 1 Posted August 22, 2012 This looks stunning. Superb work Uwe (and a lot cheaper than a Romain Jerome equivalent!!) Congratulations. To (misquote) from the Beatles : you are the Egi man.....
Timebandit 0 Posted August 22, 2012 @ Fatarms: Thank you, the corrosion stops at the moment you clean the surface with water. Just make sure that no acid is left. Easy to find out, the acid leaves a smeary brown slime line when it is still there. @ gtwc: Thank you, LOL, I like some of the Romain Jerome watches. The Moon Dust DNS is one of my favourite. DFH 0 Posted August 22, 2012 Very nice work, Uwe! Love the work you did to make the dial match - looks fantastic! What is the texture of the SS like after the ferric treatment? Smooth to the touch, or more like rough, flaky, oxidized metal? Cool results, for sure - would love to see some wrist shots! D.
Timebandit 0 Posted August 22, 2012 @ Young GPS: I will have it ready at the weekend @DFH: Thank you. It is not really rough, more than a stone, unpolished granite maybe, also not flaky. The macro pics let you guess it is very rough, but it isn't. @nunu78: thank you Greetz Uwe
