PAM 24 Homage from Parnis

Or at least I think it's a PAM 24?

Looks like this, which I assume is the correct listing details! lol

http://www.watches.co.uk/watch.php?wid=8937S

Got this one off ebay (again lol)

Paid a little bit more than I wanted to but I hadn't bought anything in ages so was getting desperate ;):D Still came in at about £32 I think, which isn't too bad.

Dial is well finished. Strap is rubber and soooooo comfy because it's slightly stretchy :) Bit of a dust magnet but then you can't have everything...

Nice weight to it, feels nice and sturdy, and the bezel clicks solidly round in 12 steps. It's very slightly misaligned though, which is a shame, but not so much that you really notice it day to day. (Does anyone know how I can move the 'click' points anticlockwise by about 1 'minute'??)

Lume is normal rep lume but nice and bright on first charge. Pearl is also lumed(!) and pretty nicely finished for such a 'cheap' watch. Movement is another Asian auto but, as with all my other Parnis autos, starts straight up with just one face-down swirl :) and has been keeping good time so far. Feels good to adjust, date clicks cleanly round, and when I accidently started hand-winding it this morning (oops!!) it felt nice and tight inside, with none of the terrible grinding feeling and noises you get on some!

Anyway, on to the pics. They're not great but it was late... lol

I'm very happy with it, I like it more than I thought I would! And being homage means I don't have to worry about accuracy, which is cool B)

Now I want them to make the North Pole version! :D

Oh, and as an added bonus, a pic of the watch box that my mate got me for being his best man :) I need another one for the rest of the watches! lol :woo:

Yeah, that's an 024 homage. Kinda sorta. I'll confess I'd have bought Tat's version for just a little more (about $80) - the 'PARNIS' on the dial and that damn silly CG really makes me cringe. Sorry.

I completely forgot about Tat tbh!

I'm not too worried about the name, it's not like anyone ever looks at my wrist lol

I might see if I can get a CG off him though - probably different size screws/holes on it but hopefully not...

Jackson Tse sells CGs separately, but I'm not sure whether Tat will.

Just a thought, but would those CGs qualify as being a 'deformed Parnis'?

:thumbsup::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Sorry, I'll get my coat...

It's a homage rather than a rep, but it's reasonably close.
