She met Tom Waits after his concert in Copenhagen. They got completely wasted, and ended up hanging out with the members of Gasolin', a danish band at 3 a.m in the morning... He asked her to go with him for the rest of his tour, and then come with him to America after that. She refused him. lol. never heard about the song before. Gasolin was and is a great legende here! about the speaking english, I have never been to a non english speaking place where folks are more comfortable speaking english. seriously.
