boyze 0 Posted September 6, 2012 Hi all, I hope you can help, I bought a 'cheapie' planet Ocean from Sillix last month which I am very happy with as a work watch, however I managed to break he clasp on the strap yesterday. Could anybody point me in the direction where I maybe able to obtain a replacement clasp/strap? Thanks in advance Paul
onionbag 1 Posted September 6, 2012 Hello and welcome Paul, try a want to buy thread in the sales area.....someone will most likely have swapped out the bracelet on this and have one spare, You'll need 5 posts to see that section, mind.
RichardMiami 4 Posted September 6, 2012 Without knowing what you mean by "broken" we can't tell you if it can be fixed. Usually, PO clasps bend a bit and become unable to close, but that can usually be fixed. Can you be more specific? Do you have pics? If it is truly beyond repair, there are two things you can do: 1. Post a Wanted to Buy notice in the M2M trading area 2. Contact your dealer for a replacement. Good luck!
onionbag 1 Posted September 6, 2012 IIRC, the bracelet on these cheapies is the 'side button release' type.......not the usual ones we see on the higher spec POs.
boyze 0 Posted September 6, 2012 Hi again, The Clasp is of the lower end side button type. I managed to overload it when it was clasped and broke the post with the ball end away. I do have pics but havn't a clue how to post on here. I appreciate it isn't the highest of specs of watches but being a engineer I got through watches very quickly however I like it and would be great if I could get it up and running again. Thanks for the tips I will try the other part of the forums when I can gain access Paul
