P_Diddy 0 Posted December 28, 2009 (edited) are you suggesting that Delicious watches don't supply 'gen' watches? if you look at the pic of the planet ocean on that site the HE valve looks wrong Edited December 28, 2009 by P_Diddy
oscarmadfish 0 Posted December 28, 2009 no i am not but if they use wrong photos i would be very wary of dealing with such sloopiness
trailboss99 997 Posted December 28, 2009 Well, they appear to be a UK based corperation with a UK biz and VAT numbers so that's some protection. Personaly I have never heard of them and I doubt they are ADs for any major brands so the products are prob grey market like a lot of web based resellers. I would enquire about warrenty validity before buying anything expensive. Col.

P_Diddy 0 Posted December 28, 2009 can anyone recommend a UK or EU based dealer/shop/web that sell discounted gen watches? Cheers PD
trailboss99 997 Posted December 28, 2009 Nope, the best are in the US. Someone here will know one. What brands are you after mate? Col.
greg_r 84 Posted December 28, 2009 Delicious watches look dodgy - they are registered as a private, non-business domain and have domain privacy invoked. Avoid like the plague. Branded Watch Co are, apparently, legit (I know someone who has bought from them). Be aware, however, that these kind of websites sell grey imports and it is likely your manufacturer's guarantee will therefore be void/invalid.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted December 28, 2009 (edited) i think most of the better ones are here in NYC. Jomashop, the Watchery, and maybe Gemnation. all sell gen watches at at least 25% off. sometimes they have really crazy sales- i bought a womens Movado with MOP dial & diamond bezel for $299 last year (list $1899) from the Watchery. i doubt i would buy a rolex there because they are not really AD and the warranty is not the same. i just ordered an Oris F1 for about $640 recently, Hammys are also heavily discounted and they do come new in the box. Ther's another site i've dealt with in Florida- SwissLuxury- they have all major brands at nice discounts- 20-25% for Rolex again new in the box with papers, but i think they come from asian stores. i've bought 2 rollies & a cartier w/o problems. I'm guessing these guys can ship anywhere. PS- Overstock.com is OK i think they used to give better discounts. again new in the box gen watches Edited December 28, 2009 by NFleischer

P_Diddy 0 Posted January 1, 2010 guys thanks for the invaluable info anyone know about this site: WatchesSonnet Cheers PD
sconehead 5 Posted January 1, 2010 PD, the only thing is if you buy from abroad you need to vector in any duties you may have to pay. A fairly easy way to buy a gen is to search for 0% credit, a lot of jewellery stores do it these days, 20% down, 3 years of payments to spread the cost. This is a way that people can spread the cost to buy their 'grail'. Be aware though, you'll probably have to pay list, so shop around...
trailboss99 997 Posted January 1, 2010 This lot makes me a bit nervous, No names and all the contacts are to one phone number, odd for a big company. All in the same building in LA too. LET ME GOOGLE THAT FOR YOU. THIS ONE gives them about 20% negative reviews. And most of them are very negative. A ,ot of the positive reviews sound allmost too good, lots of 5 star ratings with a four word review and othersd that just gush so WON may be loading the review sites with faux reviews. Even if they are not, a 20% bad rateing (most of the bad are one star) I don't think I'd be chancing it. Amazing what you find with a simple google search ain't it PD? Col. trailboss99 997 Posted January 2, 2010 your'e a genius did you really find all that info including servers etc through google? or did you use other tools? Cheers PD Yup, Google and a WhoIs search. I could proberly find who owns the joint and his credit/rental/realestate/criminal/trafic historys as well as his personal phone number and address but that costs money and involves a little more than google.
