Dave674 0 Posted September 17, 2012 I bought an omega speedmaster professional from look rich for less for around £70. It arrived quickly and on opening it looked pretty good. I shook at a little and noticed something rattling around inside. I took the back off and the bit that spins in an automatic watch wasn't even attached. I contacted them and was told a replacement would be sent. After several weeks of emails I started to phone them and was told by them because of my attitude they were not going to deal with me any more...no surprise there then! Anyway to cut a long story short, watch looked authentic but had crap workings inside and has never worked. Total waste of money and then suddenly the website disappeared. They are now uncontactable. Total shower of crooks, please warn everybody as they will no doubt resurface!
NCRich 13,792 Posted September 17, 2012 Not really surprising. Sorry you got scammed.
olly593 0 Posted September 17, 2012 Damn most of us have been there before we found this forum, have a look around the trusted dealers section and let the addiction begin. You got away fairly likely a lot of people have been ripped for a lot more on stuff that didn't even turn up, btw pictures help

fatarms 7,779 Posted September 17, 2012 You may be able to get lucky here though, the screw that holds the rotor (spinning part) in place may have dislodged and be stuck in the movement. Happened to a guy here just the other day. With the caseback off, hold the watch over a container and shake it around to see if the screw comes out of the movement. Chances are, it may still be in there lodged in the movement somewhere. You may be able to reattach the rotor if you can get the screw to come out? Best of luck and welcome, you've found the right place now

Olig7475 0 Posted September 17, 2012 Just the £70 we'll done, not finding RWG before I ordered my first rep cost me double that! Welcome and enjoy the TD's they have a wide selection of watches. One tip though, always email them before pulling the trigger, let them know you are a member here and check they can get the watch first. Enjoy and I hope you have a large credit limit.
