chrisut 0 Posted September 17, 2012 The paper in my Daytona marker has come loose. What is the best way to repair it? I have had a few watches out of the case previously, and maybe once taken off the crown (IIRC it unscrews at least on that watch). Is this something that sounds beyond my capabilities or relatively easy. Is there any type of special adhesive used to secure it? What would anyone recommend? Distinct 0 Posted September 17, 2012 I recommend you contact 10:10 and ask him how much and wear a different watch for a few weeks.

chrisut 0 Posted September 17, 2012 I dont' know what it is, could be paper, could be something else, whatever it is it has come loose. :( I guess I will be contacting 10:10...
Distinct 0 Posted September 17, 2012 Maybe it is dried up lume that looks like a layer of paper that is coming out of the marker? How about a picture? That will help a lot.
chrisut 0 Posted September 18, 2012 the last post shows the paper looking stuff out of the 9 marker and sitting right by the chrono second hand if this helps at all.
Luthier 1 Posted September 18, 2012 Can't see picture.
Distinct 0 Posted September 18, 2012 Without seeing the pictures, I'm going to guess dried up lume.
onionbag 1 Posted September 18, 2012 This happened to me with a Omega PO........a local watch guy de-cased the movement and re-applied it for me..........£5! Try 10:10 as the guys have suggested.
Luthier 1 Posted September 18, 2012 Now see the picture. Yes, lume is out. Open the watch, and glue it back, no big deal.
scorpion 0 Posted September 18, 2012 Tiny blob of standard superglue would do the trick
Distinct 0 Posted September 18, 2012 I win. I knew what it would be. First off, congratulations on having a seconds at 6:00 Daytona replica that still works. Secondly, open that sucker up like Luthier suggested and just dab tiny amount of glue and put the lume back in. Be very careful to not crush or crumble the lume. Thirdly, be a coward or unsuccessful at this and email 10:10 like I told you originally. Now see the picture. Yes, lume is out. Open the watch, and glue it back, no big deal.
