7750 / 7753 - native chrono position question

Recommended Posts

Confused about 7750 and 7753 native sub-dial positions and the movements FAQ post confused me more.

Are the below models backwards or are they optimum configuration?

7750 with seconds at 3:

7753 with seconds at 9:

Thanks!

Normal configuration for 7750 is 6-9-12, with sec@9, and 7753 - 3-6-9, with sec@9 too.

If you see 7750 with sec@3, 6 or 12 - it mean the mov't was modified with transferring module, that is a pain in the ass and mov't killer, because it was made without any jewels, just metal on metal. Avoid.

Is a 7750 with secs @9 but dials @ 3-6-9 instead of 6-9-12 a problem?

That's a 7753.

Usually not a problem because it's only the chronograph that has changed position. The problems usually are confined to movements that move the running seconds.
