Garry 0 Posted September 21, 2012 Anyone know where I can get a new stem for an Asian 6497 Movement? I have a 47mm Marina Militaire I bought from another forum member last year and the stem sheared when I was winding it up yesterday.
Member X 91 Posted September 22, 2012 Can you remove the remaining stem from the crown? If not you will have to dissolve it! New stems are about £10 for 3 from CousinsUK, or Ofrei in the US should hopefully be similar Or, you could try asking your local independent watchsmith if he has one you could buy? Garry 0 Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks for the info. I'll try to get it out before I get a new one. If that fails I could just by a new movement from Tat.
offshore 0 Posted September 22, 2012 Ummmm, ever think of looking in the RWG shop? http://shop.homage-watches-guide.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=149 Most stems are available including 6497. And $2.50 is better than anywhere else going. Ask Col about letter rate postage. O/S
